Supporter Hub: Donation Gadget
Once you have set up your hub you can add gadgets to the main hub page. Click here to view the tutorial on creating your hub.
In this tutorial, we’ll be looking at the Donations gadget. The Donations gadget allows your supporters to log in to your Hub and manage their single and recurring gifts. You are also able to offer the supporter the ability to upgrade their donation to your organization.
The Donations gadget has a number of states, depending on the status of the supporter. You can choose to include any or all of the states in the Donations gadget.
As this gadget is quite complex we’ve created a series of short videos below to guide you through setting up and managing each area of the Donations gadget.
Donation Gadget Overview
The Donations gadget has a number of states which change the gadget dynamically depending on the status of the supporter.
No Donation State
If the supporter has not made a donation yet, you can define how the Donations gadget functions in your Hub in this state.
Only Single Gift State
If the supporter has made a single gift, you can define how the Donations gadget functions in your Hub in this state.
Has Active Recurring Gift State
If the supporter has an active recurring gift, you can define how the Donations gadget functions in your Hub in this state.
Has Inactive Recurring Gift State
If the supporter has an inactive recurring gift, you can define how the Donations gadget functions in your Hub in this state.
Offer Recurring Upsell
If a supporter has an active recurring gift the Offer Recurring Upsell function allows you to offer supporters the option to upgrade their donation to your organization.
Has More Than One Recurring Gifts
If a supporter has more than one active recurring gift the Offer Recurring Upsell function allows you to offer supporters the option to view and manage all their recurring gifts.
Previewing & Testing The Donations Gadget
Once you have completed the setup of your Donations gadget it’s a good idea to preview and test it in your Hub to make sure it functions as expected.
The transaction data for changes made via the hub will appear in the transaction history of the supporter record. Here is the data you will see in the transaction export:
Campaign Status: change [ amount: xx ]
Campaign Data 21: change [ amount: xx ]
Campaign Data 22: hub+ supporter ID
ROI Donation Gadget
If using ROI Solutions and looking to take advantage of enabling supporters to make updates to their active recurring gifts, please contact the ROI team to access the necessary credentials and details to activate the ROI gadget for the Supporter Hub.
Once you have the credentials, required, you will need to enter them through the Extensions Manager in your Account Settings.
